Head of Department
TASK DESCRIPTION

In accordance with the objectives and principles determined by the top management of Süleyman Demirel University; In line with the vision and mission of the faculty, it carries out administrative and academic affairs within the department in order to carry out all activities necessary to carry out education and training in accordance with the principles of effectiveness and efficiency.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties of Department Heads are specified in Article 21 of the Law No. 2547.

1. The department is headed by the department head.

2. The head of the department leaves one of the faculty members as a deputy for periods when he will not be on duty.

3. In case of leaving for more than six months for any reason, a new head of department is appointed with the same method to complete the remaining period.

4. The head of the department is responsible for the education, training and research of the department at all levels and for the regular and efficient execution of all activities of the department.

5. He chairs the departmental boards.

6. Reports the needs of the department to the Dean's Office in writing.

7. It ensures that all kinds of correspondence between the Dean's Office and the Department are carried out in a healthy manner.

8. It provides coordination between the departments affiliated to the department.

9. It ensures that the course distribution of the department is made in a balanced way among the lecturers.

10. It ensures the regular continuation of education in the department.

11. It ensures that additional course and exam fee schedules are prepared in a timely and correct manner.

12. Identifies the department's problems related to education and conveys them to the Dean's Office.

13. It carries out the evaluation and quality improvement studies of the department, and presents the reports to the Dean's Office.

14. It carries out the accreditation studies of the programs affiliated to the department.

15. It tries to create a communication environment among the faculty members in the Department for the purpose of carrying out education and scientific research in an efficient and effective manner.

16. Provides the necessary information about the Department for the Faculty Academic General Assembly.

17. It ensures that course registrations are made regularly at the beginning of each semester.

18. The department is closely interested in the educational problems of its students.

19. It ensures that the student-instructor relations in the department are carried out in a regular and healthy way in line with the aims of education.

20. It holds meetings with the advisors so that the course registrations can be made regularly.

21. It ensures that the undergraduate education and examination regulations and guidelines are implemented in accordance with the spirit.

22. It ensures that the lecturers do their lessons regularly.

Section 23 provides for the planning and execution of ERASMUS/FARABI programs.

24. To comply with the ethical rules of the faculty, to participate in internal control activities,

25. Performs other tasks assigned by the Dean's Office regarding his/her field of duty.

QUALIFICATIONS IN EMPLOYEE IN THIS JOB

To have the general qualifications specified in the Civil Servants Law No. 657 and the Higher Education Law No. 2547;

1. Head of Department;

Salary professors of the department, if they are not available, associate professors, if there is no associate professor, dean of faculties from among the assistant professors, dean on the recommendation of the director in the colleges affiliated to the faculty, and in the schools affiliated to the rectorate, on the recommendation of the director, are appointed by the rector for three years. The chairman whose term has expired can be reappointed.

Vice-Dean of Department

 

TASK DESCRIPTION

In accordance with the objectives and principles determined by the top management of Süleyman Demirel University; The head of the department may appoint at most two of the faculty members in his department as the vice-chairman. The head of the department can change his assistants when he deems it necessary. When the office of the head of the department ends, the duty of his assistants also ends.

Department vice presidents are the lecturers who assist the department head in fulfilling his duties and are not the hierarchical supervisor of the lecturers working in the unit. The vice-chairmen of the department act as the hierarchical supervisor of the teaching staff in the unit, if they deputize for the head of the department.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To act in accordance with the aims and principles specified in Articles 4 and 5 of the Higher Education Law,

2. Planning the staff and teaching staff needs of the department and presenting it to the Head of the Department,

3. To ensure that the lessons are distributed in a balanced way,

4. To ensure that the lesson plan and course contents are updated and harmonized with other universities,

6. To plan the organization of national and international congresses in the scientific field,

7. To prepare the course and exam programs of the department, to supervise their implementation,

8. To provide graduate and doctorate programs to be opened in order to train academic staff for the department and department,

Faculty Member

TASK DESCRIPTION

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To act in accordance with the aims and principles specified in Articles 4 and 5 of the Higher Education Law,

2. Participating in scientific and academic activities within the faculty.

3. To provide the information and documents requested by the Faculty for the courses and laboratories he is responsible for.

Research Assistant

TASK DESCRIPTION

In accordance with the objectives and principles determined by the top management of Süleyman Demirel University; Research assistants work as teaching assistants who assist in research, examination and experiments in higher education institutions and perform other related duties assigned by authorized bodies.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To act in accordance with the objectives and principles specified in Articles 4 and 5 of the Higher Education Law, and the job description specified in Articles 3/p and 33.

2. To be present and assist in scientific research and activities.

3. To perform the tasks given regarding the graduation ceremony and orientation program.

4. Leading the student groups representing the Faculty at the sports festivals.

TASK DESCRIPTION

In accordance with the objectives and principles determined by the top management of Süleyman Demirel University; The Department Secretary is responsible for making official correspondence regarding the Department.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To make and follow up the general correspondence regarding the department secretariat, to organize the necessary work flows on a daily, monthly and annual basis in order to carry out the works carried out in the department secretariat on time and correctly,

2. Assisting the department heads in the preparation of the lesson plan and making their correspondence,

3. To assist the department heads in the preparation of the curriculum, to prepare the necessary data about the curriculum, to make the necessary correspondence,

4. To write informative letters to the instructors about the course programs,

5. Assisting the department heads in the preparation of the exam schedules, preparing the necessary data about the exam schedule, making the necessary correspondence,

6. Announcing the course schedules and exam schedules to the instructors and students,
